Donald Trump's former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, said on MSNBC's “Deadline” on Monday that former President Donald Trump would leave the country under a different name if he wins the election.
Host Nicolle Wallace asked, “What do you think would happen to you if he wins?”
Cohen said, “I'm getting out of here. I'm already in the process of getting a foreign passport under a totally different name. I don't know what that's going to do to my relationship with my wife and kids. I definitely don't want my kids to move to where I want to go.”
He added, “I don't think you, the president of MSNBC, General Milley or Liz Cheney are safe. How many people has the president told me that he would go after these people if he had the ability? And the worst part is the recent Supreme Court decision that gave the president executive immunity. Now the president not only thinks he can do whatever he wants, but that he'll stay out of jail if indicted.”
Wallace asked, “So, are you getting out of here? Leaving the country?”
“We have no choice,” Cohen said.
