On Friday, on FNC’s “The Ingraham Angle,” Michigan native Kid Rock declared that former President Donald Trump will win his home state, just as he did in the November 2016 presidential election.
“What do you think will happen in Michigan, by the way?” host Laura Ingraham asked. “So your home state is going to wake up and decide, no, we’re not going to kill the auto industry with EVs, and he’s going to win it.”
“Trump won. President Trump won Michigan. I mean, auto workers are smart enough to know that means EVs will be replaced by robots,” Kid Rock replied. “They’re smart enough to know that. Everyone has Google.com. They can search for anything like they knew this was coming. You know, I’m Elon. I applaud what Musk is doing. I think that guy is a genius. But when it comes to Michigan, we’re going to build cars to keep the industrial revolution alive. And we’re going to innovate and We may need to move beyond the status quo. Are we leaving base here?”
“[M]ichigan is America’s melting pot,” he continued. “After the Industrial Revolution, the Civil War, this and that, people came from the South and stopped in Chicago and came to Detroit to earn a living wage. They’re stuck there, including my family. , it’s been there for generations.”
“I’m going to do the opposite. I’m going to do the opposite of Biden. I mean, if you don’t fight, if you don’t vote for Donald Trump, you’re not from Michigan.”
