A pro-Israel counter-protester who faced off against thousands of pro-Palestinian demonstrators in Manhattan on Labor Day declared afterward: “It's crazy to be Jewish and to vote Democrat. I'm sorry, but it's insane.”
Breitbart News reported that around 5,000 pro-Palestinian protesters fired smoke bombs and faced off with police during a Labor Day demonstration, noting that at least one protester carried a Hamas flag but also noted the complete absence of American flags.
Breitbart News noted that “the protest contrasted with a rally the previous day by pro-Israel demonstrators who came together to show solidarity with Israel after Hamas killed six hostages, including American citizen Hersh Goldberg Pollin.”
Several pro-Israel counter-demonstrators stood by the march, with Fox News reporting a perplexed reaction from one of them, who noted Vice President Kamala Harris' past sympathies with anti-Israel protesters and referred to Hersh Goldberg Pollin, an Israeli-American hostage recently killed by Hamas.

What sympathizes with terrorism? Where is Joe Biden? Has he ever spoken at all? An American has just been shot in the head. Where is everyone? Where is the responsibility? I don't understand anymore. And I might run away. [sic] Jewish people who vote Democrat are crazy, sorry, but they're insane. [Senate Majority Leader] Chuck Schumer and that junior president. They don't have our backs.
Speaking at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois last month, Biden said that pro-Palestinian protesters outside the convention had “a point.”
