IL Bill Would Make ‘Mental Health Episode’ a Defense for Attacking Police

State Sen. Lisa Davis (D-IL) introduced a bill that would make defenses that “having a mental health episode” against peace officers under certain circumstances a “mental health episode” defense, and her efforts have led to a lot of criticism.
