Ilhan Omar Greets Suspended Daughter at Columbia’s ‘Anti-War Encampment’

Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) said on social media Thursday that she greeted her daughter during an anti-Israel protest at Columbia University and was with students in solidarity with “right-wing attacks.”

As Breitbart News reported, Hirschi was one of several students suspended after more than 100 anti-Israel protesters were detained by police at Columbia University last week.

Anti-Israel protests have increased on campuses across the country since the U.S.-designated Islamic terrorist organization Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, killing 1,200 Israelis and taking more than 200 hostages.

Omar previously posted statement X showed “solidarity” with students participating in the Colombian anti-Israel camp.

“Columbia has always had a great history of students fighting for a more just world, and I’m happy to see that tradition continue,” Omar wrote.

“As the NYPD surrounds these young activists, we hope their concerns are heard by school administrators and that they are not criminalized. In solidarity.”
