Ilhan Omar’s daughter says she’s homeless after being suspended from college over anti-Israel protests

Isra Hirsi, the daughter of Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, is left without a place to live or anything to eat after being suspended for taking part in a destructive anti-Israel protest at Columbia University last week. revealed.

The 21-year-old was arrested by NYPD officers on charges of trespassing after a group of demonstrators set up a tent encampment on the Ivy League school’s campus to protest Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists. He was among the more than 100 people summoned.

Hirschi said he has now been temporarily suspended from the prestigious Barnard College, where he earns an annual salary of $90,000, and has been evicted from campus housing and barred from using the cafeteria.

“I kind of panicked and thought, where am I going to sleep? Where am I going? Also, all my data is randomly assigned. It’s pretty gross,” she said. told Teen Vogue.

“I don’t know when I’ll be able to go home, and I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to go home.”

Hirschi said she heard crickets when she called Barnard College administrative staff for help.

“I sent them an email saying, “We rely on campus for our meals, we rely on our meal plan,” and they said, “Oh, 48 hours later, we’re going to get pre-packaged bags of food.” You can come and get it.’ I was suspended,” she said. “There was no food assistance.”

Hirschi was taken away in handcuffs by the NYPD on Thursday afternoon after protesters set up a tent city on campus.
