Ilhan Omar’s Family Seen at D.C. Home Post-Raid

Rep. Ilhan Omar, representing Minnesota, has been notably absent from public view following a federal raid conducted at her Washington, D.C. home last week. However, in recent days, her daughters were spotted visiting the residence.

On Saturday night, Isra Hirsi, one of Omar’s daughters, arrived in a dark sedan. She emerged from the vehicle carrying a heavy bag and made her way directly to the front door of the house previously invaded by Homeland Security Investigations agents a week earlier.

Upon exiting her car, Hirsi responded to a question from Fox News Digital with a curt, “What’s your problem?”

Just two days later, another girl, believed to be Omar’s younger daughter, was seen entering the house accompanied by someone resembling a caretaker.

The daughters were seen at their home roughly a week after it was raided. Omar has a son, who, notably, has not been seen visiting since the incident, during which federal agents reportedly seized her phone and passport.

Coinciding with the arrival of Omar’s daughter, U.S. Capitol Police appeared on the street near the congresswoman’s home. Although their jurisdiction typically covers the Capitol Building and surrounding grounds, they are also tasked with protecting members of Congress and their families.

Omar shares her children with Ahmed Hirsi, whom she married ceremonially in 2002 and legally in 2018. Prior to her legal marriage with Hirsi, she was married to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, who is alleged to be her brother, from 2009 until 2017, during which time her youngest daughter was born. In 2020, Omar married political consultant Tim Mynett.

Since the raid, Mynett has made occasional appearances outside the home, primarily to walk their Golden Labrador Retriever, Teddy. He has publicly defended his wife against the ongoing investigation, expressing he has “no concerns.” However, he lost his patience when approached about rumors claiming that Omar had fled the country, remarking, “You guys are annoying the hell out of the neighbors around here, man.”

Omar’s eldest daughter, Isra Hirsi, has attracted some controversy herself. The 23-year-old activist graduated from Barnard College, and was arrested at Columbia University in 2024 while participating in a highly publicized anti-Israel demonstration. This protest lasted for two weeks and eventually led to her suspension.

Interestingly, Hirsi co-founded the U.S. Climate Strike in 2019, which was part of a broader initiative that organized student walkouts advocating for the Green New Deal, as well as other progressive policies like universal healthcare and land restitution for Native Americans. She has also openly criticized capitalism on social media.

Amid all this, Omar’s sister, Sahra Noor, missed a scheduled book tour stop in Minnesota last week due to what was described as a “family emergency.” Sources indicate that Noor did speak voluntarily with federal investigators last week.

Last Monday, at around 6:00 a.m., Omar’s home was raided by HSI, which primarily investigates issues related to the Department of Homeland Security. This raid was executed as part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of immigration fraud, specifically looking into whether Omar and/or her father misrepresented information on her citizenship application.

Tom Homan, a notable figure regarding border security, recently stated that if the allegations prove accurate, they could potentially lead to Omar’s denaturalization.

Reports indicate that about a dozen individuals, including Omar’s relatives, have received subpoenas in connection with the case. While Omar has not publicly commented on these developments beyond previous assertions on social media, sources confirm she has not replied to numerous queries from Fox News Digital.

In a statement following the raid, Omar described it as an abuse of power, accusing the former Trump administration of politically targeting her. She emphasized that the law should not be used as a weapon against political opponents.

In a recent exclusive with Fox News Digital, Vice President JD Vance dismissed any claims of political motivation behind the investigation, asserting a commitment to allowing the law and facts to guide the proceedings.
