‘I’ll be leading the pack’

WASHINGTON – In an interview released Friday, President Trump promised that the US would not be “pulled into” by the war with Iran as the US attempts to stop its acquisition of nuclear weapons.

in Interview with Time Magazinesaid Trump was not worried about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attacking Tehran without his OK, but did not dismiss the possibility of military action.

“He might go to war, but we’re not dragged,” Trump said of Netanyahu. “If we don’t get a deal, I might be very happy to go. If we don’t do a deal, I’ll lead the pack.”

Trump also denied reports that Netanyahu “stops” attacking Iran’s uranium enrichment sites, but said, “I didn’t feel comfortable with them because I think we can make a deal without attacks.

“We hope we can do it. Iran does not have nuclear weapons, so we may have to attack,” the president said.

“But I didn’t make it comfortable for them, but I didn’t say no. In the end I was going to leave them that choice, but I said I would much prefer the deal to the bombs drop.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly put pressure on the US to advance airstrikes at the uranium enrichment site. AP

Last week, Netanyahu said at the video address: “We are committed to preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, and we will not give this away.

The Israeli Prime Minister also argued that if he hadn’t done anything in his past, “Iran would have had nuclear weapons 10 years ago.”

National Security Advisor Mike Waltz told ABC News last month he believes Trump believes “all options are on the table.” Iran stops getting bombs.

“You can’t have a world with Ayatollah with your finger on the nuclear button,” Waltz told co-host Martha Radaz on March 16.

“From a nuclear proliferation perspective, we cannot have a situation that leads to an arms race in the Middle East. And President Trump is somehow determined.”

The envoy of the special president of Middle East Steve Witkov, who is leading the debate, also supported the end of Iran’s nuclear program.

“Conversations with Iranians, like you said, will grow on two important points, one rich. They don’t need to enrich the past 3.67%,” Witkov told Fox News’ Sean Hannity last week. “In some circumstances, they’re 60%. In other circumstances, it’s 20%.”

“You can’t do that and you don’t have to argue that you’re a “civil nuclear program” that’s concentrated past 3.67%. This is about validating the enrichment program,” he added.

Previous meetings in Oman and Rome allowed the US and Iran to speak from separate rooms through mediators.

Michael Anton, the State Department’s Director of Policy Planning, is expected to lead the third round of talks on Saturday. He told the Times of Israel.

“Hamas had no money. Hezbollah had no money. There was no money. Iran broke under Trump, and he knows that.

“When Biden came and he quit all sanctions, he had China and everyone else buy all the oil, and Iran developed $300 billion in cash over four years,” he added.

“They started funding fear again, including Hamas. Hamas was out of business. Hezbollah was out of business. Iran had no money under me. I blamed the Biden administration.
