Vice President Kamala Harris, a 2024 Democratic presidential candidate, said in an interview on Fox News Channel's “Special Report” Wednesday that she still supports paying taxes for gender reassignment surgeries for federal prisoners and detained immigrants. In response to the question, he said: “Following the law,” just as his Republican opponent, former President Donald Trump, offered such surgeries when medically necessary to people in federal prisons during his administration, Trump said “voters Trying to create a sense of fear in…” This issue is actually quite remote as it relates to the biggest issue affecting the American people. ”
Host Bret Baier asked, “So do you still support using tax dollars to help prison inmates and detained illegal aliens transition to another gender?” .
“I follow the law, and that's the law that Donald Trump actually followed. Under Donald Trump's administration, people in federal prisons can receive these surgeries based on medical necessity,” Harris said. And, frankly, that ad from the Trump campaign is like throwing rocks when you live in a glass house. I think it's a thing.”
“Trump's aides say he never advocated for such a prison policy and that no sex-reassignment surgeries were performed during his presidency,” Baier said.
Harris interjected that President Trump must take responsibility for what happened during his time in office.
Baier then noted that the surgery was not performed during the Trump administration and asked, “So do you still support using tax dollars for gender reassignment surgery?”
“I follow the law, just as I think Donald Trump would have said,” Harris said.
She added, “I think he spent $20 million on advertising to instill fear in voters.''In fact, he has no choice but to focus on the needs of the American people in this election.'' “Because there is no plan for this,” he added. Meanwhile, $20 million has been spent on that ad, and the issue is actually quite fringe as it relates to some of the biggest issues affecting the American people. And, again, his policies didn't change either. ”
