An illegal immigrant was accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in Taylor County, Texas in March.
Roberto Javier Torno Cruz, an adult illegal immigrant, was arrested and Charged Regarding child sexual assault crimes.
According to Taylor County authorities, the 14-year-old girl’s mother found a video on her daughter’s phone that she believed showed Torno-Cruz sexually assaulting the girl and called police with the footage.

Police later identified Torno-Cruz as a suspect based on cellphone video and interviewed the girl, who said she met Torno-Cruz at a party earlier this year and had sex with him while he filmed the assault. She also alleged that Torno-Cruz assaulted her several times.
Torno-Cruz was subsequently arrested and booked into the Taylor County Jail. He is being held on suspicion of child sexual assault and being detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
