Robert F. Kennedy Jr. visited the U.S.-Mexico border for the second time since launching his independent presidential campaign, calling President Joe Biden’s influx of illegal immigrants “an existential threat to our country and our values.” ” he called.
In a campaign video released Monday, Kennedy documented a trip to Cochise County, Arizona, located along the southwest border with Mexico.
There, Kennedy slammed Biden’s “open borders and influx of illegal immigration” into American communities, including Cochise County, where local taxpayers, hospital systems, public schools and social services are on the brink of bankruptcy.

Cochise County Schools Superintendent Jackie Clay told Kennedy that illegal aliens who cross the border seek water, shelter and medical treatment after making an often deadly journey through drug cartels in Mexico. He said he is trying to enroll in the county’s public schools.
Sometimes, Clay said, students even witness people dying in the process.
Students cannot learn if they are afraid. Teachers cannot teach if they are always looking over their shoulder. Illegal aliens are coming and trying to get in by jumping the fence, knocking on the door, and shaking the door. There is also the problem of students stepping over dead bodies. [Emphasis added]

Sierra Vista Mayor Claire Macker told Kennedy that cartel smugglers who pack illegal immigrants into cars are often caught driving between 165 and 115 mph in school zones. Cochise County Attorney Brian McIntyre said the smugglers are often local high school students, and the cartels expect to pay large sums, making up to $1,500 for each illegal alien they smuggle into the country. .
“…There was a car chase with police cars that ended up maybe 100 feet from one of the elementary schools,” Macker said.

Cochise County Sheriff Mark Dannels said things weren’t always like this.
“President Obama was the first president to remodel the wall,” Dannels told Kennedy.

and Then Biden came in and shut down everything on the southwest border, claiming it wasn’t an emergency. And instead of working with local residents…we ended up working with the sheriff, the mayor, the governor, and that’s not happening. [Emphasis added]
Dannels gave one example of Biden personally handing Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas a “16-point plan on how to secure the border.”
A few months later, Dannels said he asked the secretary about the secure border plan and Mayorkas responded, “Did you give me anything for the sheriff?”
“The administration’s policies have done the exact opposite of what they intended,” Wilcox Police Chief Dale Hadfield told Kennedy. “If anyone thinks that the human body is immune to drugs, they are sorely mistaken. It’s all a game.”
One of the Biden policies that President Kennedy pointed out was to halt all border wall construction upon his inauguration in late January 2021. As a result, 90 percent of the wall material the federal government had already purchased went to waste, Dannels said. It was sold as scrap metal.
As hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens arrive at the southern border, monthly Under the Biden administration’s Department of Homeland Security, the administration acknowledged that approximately 85 percent of all illegally entering aliens are being released into American communities.
