Maryland and Missouri are not border states.
New York borders Canada, not Mexico, but these three states have made shocking headlines this week over the alleged kidnappings, murders and rapes of girls and women committed by undocumented immigrants.
Two more illegal immigrants in Texas are accused of strangling a 12-year-old girl for an unknown motive.
The crimes come as the Biden administration continues to struggle to address illegal crossings at the U.S.-Mexico border.
Rachel Morin murder: Illegal immigrant from El Salvador charged with raping, murdering Maryland mother of five

Victor Martinez Hernandez, 23, is charged with first-degree murder and rape for the attack on Rachel Morin, 37, on a trail in Bel Air, Maryland on August 5, 2023.
Morin is not allegedly his first victim.
“We all suspected that Rachel was not his first victim,” Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler said after the arrest. “My understanding is that this suspect, this monster, brutally murdered a young woman and then illegally fled to the United States. El Salvador …January 2023. “
Authorities said Martinez-Hernandez entered the U.S. illegally in February 2023. The following month, a woman and her 9-year-old daughter were robbed in Los Angeles.

DNA collected in the case was later matched to that of Morin, who traveled crisscross the United States for 10 months before being arrested by police in Oklahoma this week.
Illegal immigrant arrested for raping 13-year-old girl in broad daylight in New York park
In New York City earlier this week, the NYPD responded to a 1 a.m. 911 call after a group of well-meaning people encountered a rape suspect wanted for binding and gagging two 13-year-old girls in a park, raping one of them, then stealing her cell phone.

The suspect, Christian Giovanni Inga Landi, 25, was arrested after a group of civilians cornered him and prevented him from attempting to escape.
Authorities said the suspect entered the United States illegally through Eagle Pass, Texas, in 2021. He was arrested and released, but DNA taken at the time matched DNA found on the water bottle, prosecutors said.
An immigration judge ordered him deported in 2022, but he remained in the country to carry out the attack.
An illegal immigrant suspect in the murder of a Texas girl was recently arrested by the Border Patrol and released into the US.
In Houston, police arrested two illegal immigrants from Venezuela for strangling a local 12-year-old girl and dumping her body in a creek.

City police announced Thursday that Johan Jose Rangel Martinez, 21, and Franklin Jose Peña Ramos, 26, will be charged with murder in the death of Jocelyn Nungaray.
According to a Fox News source, the two suspects illegally crossed the border from El Paso on separate occasions. Both were apprehended by Border Patrol and released into the US.
Jocelyn had left her parents’ apartment to call her 13-year-old boyfriend, who told police he heard two men. Surveillance footage from a nearby 7-Eleven showed the men approaching Jocelyn and walking toward the bridge where police believe the murder occurred.
Her body was found in the creek below.
In Missouri, state police arrested five illegal immigrants on Monday for kidnapping a 14-year-old girl in Indiana.

The girl’s father reported her missing, and police found the suspect vehicle near where the girl’s cell phone was ringing.
Police found the girl, unharmed, in the back seat of the car and arrested Mexican nationals Arturo Eustaquio, 41, Noe Guzman Hernandez, 24, and Daniel Ruiz Lopez, 19, as well as Honduran nationals Carlos Funes, 56, and Marlon Aguilar, 44.
All five were in the country illegally and were being held without bail on kidnapping charges.

In its monthly report Thursday, U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported 117,900 encounters between ports of entry along the U.S.-Mexico border, down about 9% from the previous month.
