At least two of the eight illegal aliens accused of attacking a New York City Police Department (NYPD) officer last month are members of a violent Venezuelan street gang known as Torren de Aragua, Immigration and Customs Enforcement said. This was announced by an ICE official. Seven of the illegal aliens are currently incarcerated at Rikers Island Jail.

Meanwhile, 21-year-old Ulises Bohorquez and 18-year-old Jarwin Madris have already In session Attack on Rikers Island. Mr. Bojorquez is being held on $100,000 cash bail, while Mr. Madris has been ordered held without bail.

João Boada, 22, an illegal immigrant from Venezuela, was charged and released without bail, but has not yet been charged.

Many of the illegal aliens accused in the attacks have been arrested, thanks to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D), who has ties to billionaire George Soros, who has so far not requested bail for most people. Brito and Madris are the only two who remain in prison; the other two have been released.

A so-called “sanctuary church” in Brooklyn tried to help Brito’s release this week by posting a pre-set $15,000 cash bail, but on Friday it was ordered to withhold the bail. Ta.

According to ICE officials, who spoke to washington timesSteven Dinan, Juarez and Arocha are all members of Venezuela’s Torren de Aragua, who crossed the southern border at some point in recent years.

ICE agents took the two into custody, noting that Arocha was wanted by the agency, but Juarez had already been ordered deported by a federal immigration judge a year earlier; It wasn’t done.

Juarez will likely be released from Rikers Island on a low bail of just $1, but ICE officials say he will likely be remanded in custody if released. Juarez’s bail is significantly lower than the other suspects because he is charged with a single charge of tampering with evidence, not assault.

The involvement of gang members in this attack is due to the country’s porous southern border, which makes it difficult for hundreds, even thousands, of Torren de Aragua members to move into American society and set up shop. The incident comes amid growing concern from federal authorities that he may be allowing this.

In New York City, federal authorities are concerned that Torren de Aragua may form an alliance with MS-13, a Salvadoran gang with many members in the city and across Long Island.
