Illinois deputy deliver DoorDash order after driver gets arrested: video shows

An Illinois law enforcement officer was caught on video delivering a DoorDash order to a customer after the driver was arrested during a traffic stop.

In a Facebook post Thursday, the Kane County Sheriff's Office posted a video of Deputy Milner walking up to the home with the order in hand.

“My deputies always follow through,” Kane County Sheriff Ron Hayne said. “After having to arrest a food delivery driver, he completed the order so no one went hungry.”

Ring doorbell camera footage from Jan. 14, 2024, shows Milner walking toward his home on a snow-covered sidewalk.

He then presses the doorbell and hears a dog barking from inside.

When the resident opened the door, he asked Milner if the driver had been in an accident.

“No, he was arrested, but we wanted to make sure you got food. Good night, everyone,” the deputy said.

The resident then said to Milner: thank you. “

Kane County Sheriff's Office Chief Public Affairs Officer Amy Johnson told FOX News Digital that food delivery driver Abraham J. Salazar Salas was pulled over for a traffic stop. .

He was charged with unspecified misdemeanors.
