Ilona Maher Shines in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue

Ilona Maher, a professional rugby player and Olympian, is back in this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue for the third year in a row. The 29-year-old athlete expressed her excitement about the experience, saying, “I don’t think I’ve ever felt as sexy as I did when I was shooting with them.” While posing for Bikini Bible, she mentioned the thrill of wearing swimsuits in beautiful locations, exclaiming how liberating it feels.

Before heading for the shoot, Maher made sure to grab her go-to sunscreen, Coppertone Sport Sunscreen Spray, essential for her active lifestyle. She humorously pointed out that she dislikes getting farmer’s tans and praises the sunscreen for its reliability during her intense workouts.

On the topic of her sunscreen being popular with her teammates, she joked about how they keep borrowing it. This prompted Coppertone to create a limited edition sunscreen featuring her image. “It’s kind of wild that you had something in your locker and now it’s your face,” she remarked, amused by the change.

Maher highlighted her other go-to beauty products, such as Maybelline’s Super Stay Matte Ink liquid lipsticks in red shades, which she adores. As for skincare, she mentioned her interest in moisturizers, specifically Paula’s Choice ProCollagen Peptide Plumping Moisturizer, which she considers a favorite.

When discussing her fashion sense, she’s a fan of experimenting with bold styles—like high slit skirts and cut-out designs that she wore during her presentation for the SI Swimsuit issue. “Wear something that makes you feel really confident,” she advised, emphasizing the importance of dressing to feel like yourself. It changes the energy, after all.

With her vibrant enthusiasm, it’s no surprise that there’s talk of her possibly being the next lead on “The Bachelorette.” However, it seems fans may have to be patient as she expressed a desire to connect with someone “in nature.”
