During a recent broadcast of “Cuomo” on News Nation, Senator Mike Khalidporos (R-FL), who chairs the Subcommittee on Space and Aviation Sciences, expressed his worries regarding proposed cuts to science funding.
Earlier in the day, Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) discussed a budget plan put forward by the Trump administration, highlighting its implications for Medicaid and the Energy and Commerce Committee. She remarked, “I’ve seen other things. As a ranking member of the Scientific Committee, I worry about the long-term damage to this country’s prosperity.”
Host Chris Cuomo inquired, “Are you concerned about scientific funding?”
Khalidporos replied, “Yes, I’m definitely worried about scientific funding. Zoe and I will collaborate on this issue because it’s crucial for us to lead in the face of challenges from China right now.”
