Donald Trump had a record-breaking interview with Elon Musk.

During the interview, Elon Musk was asked about the assassination attempt he faced.

Trump said he now has “more faith in God.”

The New York Post reported:

Donald Trump said he “started to believe in God” after surviving an assassination attempt last month, calling it a “miracle” that only the bullet hit his ear.

“It hit me at a less destructive angle than any other angle,” the 78-year-old former president told Elon Musk during an X Livestream conversation.

“It was a miracle, and I think everyone, even those who don’t believe in God, has to start thinking about that,” the Republican presidential candidate said.

“I’m a believer. I think I’m even more of a believer now. A lot of people have told me that. In fact, a lot of great people have told me that. But it was a surprise that I happened to bend at the perfect angle.”

“I knew right away it was a bullet,” Trump said.

Trending Politics reported:

X owner Elon Musk began his historic interview with former President Donald Trump by asking him about the assassination attempt on him in Butler, Pennsylvania last month.

“I’m very excited to begin this term as president of the United States. It’s really emotional. But what has it been like for you?” Musk asked.

“It’s not a pleasant thing,” Trump joked. “I told you I bled, to be honest with you. I bled. I bled. I didn’t think I’d bleed that much. The doctor told me later that the ear is a place where you get hit and it bleeds a lot. But in this case, I got hit at the right angle, so it was probably the best option I could have had.”

“And, you know, it was a hard hit. It was very, I would say surreal, but it wasn’t surreal. I was telling people that sometimes situations like this, or much less than this, feel surreal,” he continued. “I’ve never felt that way. I knew right away it was a bullet, so I was glad I went down. The bigger miracle is that I was looking in the exact direction of the shooter, so the bullet hit me at an angle.”
