UFC lightweight Justinghe said she is happy to serve America by helping FBI agents train.
Gaethje was asked about his willingness to train federal agents after new FBI director Kash Patel was rumoured to have come up with the idea last week on a call with the field office.
Patel recently led weekly virtual meetings with the head of 55 offices, during which he was allegedly argued that federal agencies should join the UFC in mutual partnerships to develop programs that improve the physical fitness of FBI field agents.
“Kash Patel… UFC suggested the idea that UFC fighters should help train FBI agents. If you hear something like that: a good idea? A bad idea?” a reporter asked Gaethje.
“I think he should use us…” Gaethje began before thinking again. “I think there are far more skilled people, but I don't have children or wife, so if he needs someone to come out there and serve justice, I want to be part of that team.”
The 36-year-old continued, “I think they are in hand-to-hand combat situations. [that] It's wrong, you guys have guns and they shoot pretty good. That's the first option,” he said.
Gaethje later added that it is realistic to suspect that when “clearing the house,” agents could fall into situations that require close training in martial arts such as wrestling and jiu-jitsu.
The Arizona native was a Division I national wrestler of the NCAA. He was also inducted into the Northern Colorado Athletics Hall of Fame for Wrestling.

Gaethje continued. “I love representing this country. I can't wait to walk this flag to the octagon. It's been a while since I was proud to be an American.”
