Survey Reveals Top Restaurant Chains for Employee Satisfaction

A recent survey has pointed out which restaurant chains excel in employee satisfaction.

In-N-Out Burger has claimed the top position, boasting the happiest staff among major American restaurant chains.

According to Nation’s Restaurant News, Financial Services firm William Blair analyzed Glassdoor data spanning 11 years, encompassing around 530,000 reviews from about 90 restaurant brands.

The results showed that 91% of In-N-Out employees would recommend their jobs to friends.

George Charlesworth, the vice president of operations at In-N-Out, told Fox News Digital that the company is “honored” by this recognition.

“Our founders, Harry and Esther Snyder, have always been dedicated to providing fresh, high-quality food and friendly service to customers,” he noted. “Since 1948, Harry aimed to take care of both his clients and his employees.”

This marks the tenth consecutive year that In-N-Out has ranked in the top ten for employee satisfaction.

Interestingly, in 2024, 86% of In-N-Out employees still expressed a willingness to recommend their workplace.

Charlesworth credited the leadership of owner and president Lynsi Snyder, saying, “We’re focused on creating a positive environment with higher starting wages, better benefits, and development opportunities.”

He added, “Many of our team members have decades of experience, holding onto the timeless values instilled by our founders, ensuring every customer and burger is served with a signature In-N-Out smile.”

In second place was a Louisiana-based chicken company, where about 82% of employees said they would recommend the job to friends.

The Netherlands Brothers secured third place, while Chuy took fourth.

Completing the top five was Pete’s Coffee and Tea from the San Francisco Bay Area.
