Incorrect Order Results in Severe Assault at Texas Burger Restaurant

A dispute over a food order at a Texas restaurant escalated, and footage of the clearly one-sided altercation has since gone viral on social media.

“Let’s check out Whataburger in San Antonio and see what’s happening,” one user noted, sharing the video. “Just as expected.”

Rebecca Noel, who claims to be the mother of the alleged victim, didn’t find the incident funny. She shared a statement on Facebook with images showing the restaurant’s bloody floor.

In her post, she mentioned:

At Whataburger… a part of another table’s order was mistakenly given to my son and his friend. Rather than acknowledging their error, the staff supposedly told others: “They have your food.” This led to those customers confronting my son and his friends, and quickly, what began as a simple misunderstanding spiraled into a violent incident.

According to the San Antonio Police, they received a call about the situation shortly after 3 a.m. on October 5.

Authorities confirmed that the confrontation stemmed from a mix-up with the food orders, but they didn’t release additional details about the specifics of the exchange or if there were any racial elements involved.

“Seven individuals were arrested and charged with assault causing injury,” police stated.

The arrested included Andres Garcia Cardenas (21), Tyrone Tolliver (21), Miguel Torres (57), Mayli Torres (21), Andrew Lopez (21), Deonte Tolliver (23), and Veronica Valdez (53).

Two of the initial group involved in the order mix-up were reported to be 18 and 20 years old.

Noel expressed that her son’s family would push for full prosecution of “the men seen on video assaulting our children.”

She also called for the video to be widely shared, asserting: “This was senseless. Please spread the word. These kids deserve justice.”
