The 10-year-old Indiana boy was allegedly sitting with him for a few minutes as his foster parent, who weighed 340 pounds, was “behavior.”
Jennifer Lee Wilson, 48, was sentenced to six years in January and was suspended from serving on probation for a year, according to WMAQ. She was charged with reckless murder in the death of Dakota Levy Stevens.
On April 25th, police were called to his home in Valparaiso, Indiana. Because the boy was found to be not breathing and not having a pulse, which CBS News reported. Officers found bruises on the child's neck and chest. The officers attempted to revive the boy, but he was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
Indiana parents were arrested for abuse after being told to beat their siblings after being told they were zipping their 10-year-old son.

Wilson told police that the boy had just fled the house and found him at his neighbor's house and returned to the house. She says he is still “behaving badly”, throws herself to the ground and tells her that he is leaving.
According to a court application, Wilson told police “When she tried to stop him from leaving, she doesn't know if she worked on Dakota or if they fell to the ground, but her intention was to hold him.”
She said she sat in his centre for about five minutes. He eventually stopped moving, but she believed he was forgerying.

“Are you forged?” she asked before rolling him, noticing his eyelids pale. Wilson then began running the CPR, calling it 911.
On April 27, South Bend Memorial Hospital reported that Dakota had passed away. He suffered from organ and soft tissue damage, liver and pulmonary bleeding and other injuries.
Autopsy revealed the cause of death as mechanical asphyxiation and the method of death as murder.

The neighbor asked the officer to tell the Dakota that he ran to her house before the medical emergency and that he would adopt him as his parents slam him in the face. Neighbors said she had not observed any signs of the boy's injury.
Wilson then came to retrieve his son, the neighbor said.
The Dakota was 4'10″ and 91 pounds, while Wilson was listed at 4'11″ and 340 pounds.
