Authorities said police confronted a man early Monday morning at a hospital in southern Indiana, and a shooting erupted that killed both the officer and the man.
Sergeant Telcity was killed in a shooting incident at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Telcity, across the Ohio River from Kentucky. State Police said Heather Glenn and a local man, Sean Hubert, 34.
An Indiana police sergeant said the officers were involved in an “argument” with Hubert when the shots were fired. John Davis said at a press conference. He gave few details and declined questions from reporters, citing an ongoing investigation.

Glenn spent nearly 20 years with the Tell City Police Department and the Perry County Sheriff’s Office.
A local man and a police officer were killed in a shootout at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tel City, Indiana.

“Our department has suffered a great loss,” Police Chief Derrick Loewalyn said. “We have lost a dear colleague, a dear friend. Sergeant Glenn, she is the cornerstone of our department.”
Lawarin also offered “thoughts and prayers” for Hubert’s family.
