A very strange interview with women’s college basketball legend and Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark has reached a newspaper reporter. indystar Suspended from school for 2 weeks.
According to Gannett via Fox News, columnist Greg Doyle was disciplined for his role in the exchange with Clark.
“Indianapolis Star sports columnist Greg Doyle will not be reporting on the Indiana Fever,” Indy Star spokesperson Lark-Marie Anton told Fox News Digital.

The issue began last month when Doyle made the heart symbol the former Iowa State star is known to make with his hand before questioning Clark.
Clark asked Doyle if he liked it. Doel replied, “I’m glad you’re here.”

Clark said he signs autographs for his family “after every game.”
Doyle replied, “If you start doing that to me, we’ll get along.”
Doyle faced intense backlash on social media, prompting her to post an apology to X.
“Today, in my signature O-Fish way, I made my hand sign (hand heart emoji) while welcoming @CaitlinClark22 to Indy,” he wrote. “My comments afterwards were clumsy and awkward. I sincerely apologize. Please know that my heart was well-intentioned (literally and figuratively). I will do better.”
