Infant dies after being left in car ‘for hours’; Daily Mail gushes about her 2 adoptive dads

A baby girl has died in California after being left in a car for “hours.” Despite the tragic circumstances of her untimely death, the Daily Mail, which broke the story, said: Exclusive Report She spoke out about the incident and praised the gay couple who adopted her.

Romer and Jason De Los Santos, two men from the San Diego area, became law partners in 2008, just months before Proposition 8 passed overwhelmingly, banning same-sex marriage in California until 2013. Obergefell Supreme Court ruling.

“Romer is an avid gardener and grows fruit, vegetables, bonsai and flowers in the backyard. Jason looks after the animals and collects eggs from the chickens.”

The couple adopted their first child in years, a boy, after filling out a profile on an adoption website in November expressing their desire to have a baby. “Our hearts and home are ready to pour more love into another wonderful child,” Romer and Jason wrote in their profile.

Their wish was granted just five months later, when little Diana Sofia was born in Arizona on April 11. The de los Santos flew to Arizona and adopted Diana shortly thereafter.

Sadly, just two months later, little Diana passed away. She was found unconscious in the de los Santoses’ SUV parked in front of their home just before 12:30 a.m. on June 13. Paramedics arrived within minutes and rushed Diana to Sharp Grossmont Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

While the temperature outside was just 63 degrees Fahrenheit at the time, the temperature inside a car can rise to 115 degrees Fahrenheit, even if it’s 70 degrees outside, the Daily Mail reports. What’s more, children’s body temperatures rise at a significantly higher rate than adults.

It’s unclear who left Diana in the car for how long, but investigators believe she was there for “many hours.” The incident remains under investigation and no charges have been filed. The cause of death has not yet been officially determined.

“Never leave your child alone in the car, even for a moment, to run to the store or run a quick errand,” police said in a statement, according to the media. “Summer routines can change unexpectedly, and even the best parents can forget that they have a quiet or sleeping child in the back seat of the car.”

While some stopped short of calling the de los Santos “the best parents ever,” one neighbor told the Daily Mail that the couple certainly seemed to care about their children. “They seemed like a nice family who wanted to give their kids a good life, and it’s just a shame it didn’t turn out that way,” the neighbor said.

The Daily Mail certainly seems to think the de los Santos are good parents, praising an “adorable photo” they posted to social media of them “embracing” Princess Diana and introducing her to her brother.

“Romer is an avid gardener, growing fruit, vegetables, bonsai and flowers in their backyard, while Jason looks after animals and collects eggs from the chickens,” the outlet reported in an article about their late daughter.

Romer explained: [he and Jayson] “They both came from large families and often had dinners, parties and went on holidays together,” the article added.

The Daily Mail also claimed the de los Santos’ three-bedroom home is home to so many animals that it’s “basically a zoo,” and they also provide temporary homes for foster animals.

Jason, who is seen in several photos with purple hair, is described in the Daily Mail article as a “stay-at-home dad”.

Despite the positive coverage in the Daily Mail, Publica The speed with which the de los Santos were able to adopt Diana “raises concern,” Publica said, noting that newborns are in high demand among would-be adopters, who often have to wait a year or more before they can be adopted.

Publica also reports that Romer is a former LGBT activist in the area. More than 15 years ago, he began volunteering with San Diego LGBT Pride, eventually working his way up to co-chair, a position he held for three years. During that time, he boasted that he “doubled the size of the board in less than a year and increased its diversity in terms of age, race, sex and gender identity,” according to the paper.
