TikTok influencer Emily Kizer shared a poignant video about motherhood just days before her 3-year-old son passed away following a drowning incident.
The 26-year-old celebrated Mother’s Day with touching posts, including a video montage featuring her sons, Teddy and Trigg.
“I’m forever grateful for my ability to be a happy Mother’s Day for Mom,” she expressed on Instagram.
In a clip set to Phoebe Bridgers’ “Scott Street,” Kizer was seen enjoying a picnic with her kids, capturing a sweet moment when Trigg rushed over to kiss her.
Another video highlighted her husband, Brady, playing with Trig, tossing him into the air. Kizer captioned it, “POV: The Joy of Being a Mother.”
Later that day, she shared her reflections on her motherhood journey, noting, “I seriously can’t believe I have two kids this Mother’s Day.” She emphasized the challenges and joys, sharing how motherhood brings about a blend of emotions—beautiful and sometimes overwhelming.
The couple had openly discussed their family plans after welcoming Trigg in July 2021. They also became parents to Teddy just a few months prior.
Kizer, who has amassed 3.1 million followers on TikTok and over a million on Instagram, offered glimpses into her life with two children, sharing candid moments and the ups and downs of parenthood.
However, on May 18, news broke of Trigg’s tragic death after he was found unresponsive in the family’s pool. Authorities in Chandler confirmed that he passed away following critical hospitalization that began on May 12.
In the aftermath, police have expressed condolences to the Kizer family, stating they would respect the family’s privacy while investigating the circumstances surrounding the child’s condition.
