Influencer Attacked on the Streets of New York
A New York influencer recently shared a video capturing a shocking incident where a stranger violently punched her in the head and knocked her to the ground.
Kindra Hall, an author and online coach, posted security footage last Wednesday, showing her casually walking along a sidewalk in the Upper East Side. Out of nowhere, a man approaching from the opposite direction attacked her.
In the footage, she can be seen falling awkwardly near the road after being struck.
After the attack, Hall recorded a video with her assailant as he walked away, turning around and seemingly showing little concern for what had just happened.
The man was later photographed in handcuffs by the NYPD at the location he claimed to be heading towards.
However, Hall expressed frustration that it took the police over 30 minutes to arrive at the scene. She felt they were not interested in helping her or pursuing the attacker.
“Even after showing the video of him making threats, the NYPD acted like it wasn’t serious. I remember saying, ‘So because I’m not bleeding, it’s okay to punch me in the head?’” she noted in her post.
Following the incident, when Hall informed the officers about her headache from the blow, they agreed to follow the assailant to the address he provided, even though the footage clearly identified him.
“It’s hard to explain how terrifying this situation was. Maybe they wanted me to just back off and give up?” her post continued.
Hall also expressed her annoyance at having to obtain the security footage herself.
“I feel fortunate that things weren’t worse,” she reflected. “I’m glad it was me and not someone who couldn’t handle such an attack. I hope he gets the help he clearly needs.”
The NYPD has been contacted for further comments regarding this incident.
