Informant accused of feeding FBI bogus Biden information pleads guilty to 4 counts

Alexander Smirnov reached a plea deal with the Office of Special Counsel David Weiss, agreeing to plead guilty to several charges.

The plea agreement states that Smirnov agrees to “count two of the indictment, United States v. Alexander Smirnov, which charges the defendant with causing the creation of false and fictitious records in a federal investigation.”

He has also agreed to plead guilty to several tax evasion charges.

Smirnov is accused of “providing false and derogatory information to the FBI”[.]”
