Hi there,
It’s Monday already, and I’m fully geared up.
Let’s dive in.
WELCOME TO THE PRE-APOCALYPSE
One of the best indicators of a society’s health is how it treats women and children.
So, let’s take a closer look at Los Angeles.
The New York Times Magazine has just published a lengthy article about “The Blade,” a street in LA notorious for child sex trafficking and prostitution. The piece, written by Emily Baumgaertner Nunn, centers on the area itself, an LAPD vice officer, and a 19-year-old identified as “Ana,” who started working there at 15.
According to Nunn, “She knew which motels had rooms set aside for just this purpose, which schools and businesses didn’t padlock their parking lots at night.”
Indeed, school parking lots in LA are frequently exploited for these activities.
The article is already sparking various reactions online. There are calls urging Trump to “invade” LA with the National Guard, while others want Gov. Gavin Newsom to take action himself.
But here’s the catch: both Newsom and LA Mayor Karen Bass share some blame for the surge in trafficking, just like the pimps and others involved in this exploitation. California’s sanctuary status is driving trafficking numbers higher. Remember when Biden’s administration lost track of 233,000 undocumented minors?
How many of them could have ended up on “The Blade”?
It’s tough to say, especially after Bass reduced the LAPD’s budget following the death of George Floyd. As Nunn points out, “In 2021, the Police Department’s central human-trafficking unit was disbanded following budget cuts.”
Apparently, that wasn’t considered woke enough. Additionally, Newsom repealed a law that allowed police to intervene in apparent street trafficking, citing concerns over racial profiling.
And how are they dressing? I stumbled upon a YouTube channel called “Los Angeles Hoods,” which has been capturing footage of “The Blade” since 2023. It has close to a million subscribers.
All they post are videos of women in lingerie, sometimes just G-strings and thigh-highs, walking the streets in broad daylight. There are hours of this footage. The area is dirty and rundown, with neglected buildings. The only modern thing is the cars parked along the streets.
As if that wasn’t enough, this YouTube channel even sells “LA hood” merchandise.
From the NYT (my emphasis):
The Blade was an eight-minute drive from the University of Southern California, yet it felt worlds apart. Parents pushed strollers by the trafficked girls, taking their kids to school. Among boarded-up shops, there were a few catering to this trade: a smoke shop with a banner reading “free Magnum condom with any purchase” and a lingerie store named — in cursive — Sluts. Figueroa seemed to be the one street in all of Los Angeles where nobody ever honked: Customers waited patiently, almost like in line at a drive-through, to browse the menu and make their choice.
The NYT also quoted Bass:
L.A. Mayor Karen Bass acknowledged she’s witnessed the trafficking firsthand. Though foster care is overseen by the county—not the city—she described it as “a failure of government, period,” adding, “It is our responsibility, and therefore, it is our fault.”
Welcome to America’s pre-apocalypse, where minors are sold openly on public streets, and the elected officials who enabled this decay merely shrug it off. Under-resourced police officers face constraints from ineffective policies while mothers stroll past child sex slaves, and public school parking lots become venues for nefarious acts.
This makes me feel absolutely sick. It compels me to take action. I want to drive to LA and join the nearest vice squad.
Strollers passing by child sex slaves? That’s not the America I recognize.
Let’s get moving: contact Kash Patel. Wake up Trump. Suspend habeas corpus if needed! Arrest the traffickers. With determination. The police know their identities. Arrest Karen Bass, too. Investigate Newsom. Hold him accountable. And as for the streets? Send in the Marines!
This cannot continue in America. Not in broad daylight. Children for sale.
It will lead to our downfall unless we address it in a way that ensures no one dares to repeat it.
