Inmate speaks out after attack on wife-killer Scott Peterson

The prisoner who attacked his infamous wife, Killer Scott Peterson with a pickle ball spat in prison claims he “beating hell” from his fellow inmates, but they eventually fill in.

The headless body of his pregnant wife was found in San Francisco Bay more than 20 years ago, Peterson hit Charles Mills during a game at Mule Creek State Prison in California, sending Mills into full “attack mode.”

Peterson, 53, appears to have “actively” chased the ball with his paddles in his hands and did not seem to make any effort to avoid a crash, Mills told court television.

Mills said “Beat [Peterson] “Toward the ground,” he said, “I'll beat hell out of him.” According to TMZ.

Mills saw Peterson charge towards him, a “primitive impulse” overcame him.

The pair were separated and trapped in separate cells – and later composed during a two-hour conversation, Mills said.

Peterson has enough money to pay other prisoners to revenge, Mills told the outlet, and settled for his best interests.

Peterson was convicted of first-degree murder of his wife Rashi and second-degree murder of the couple's unborn baby Connor in 2004, but he continues to argue that he is innocent.

“[I]f I have the opportunity to show people what the truth is and they are willing to accept it, that's the biggest thing I can achieve right now because I didn't kill my family,” Peterson told me in a 2024 three-part Peacock docusary, “Face-to-face with Scott Peterson.”

Peterson's case made headlines again last year after the Los Angeles Innocence Project advocated that he would take part in the discovery process to prove his innocence.

His incident is well-known for his influence on the bestselling book and award-nominated film “Gone Girl.”
