Hours before the start of the 2025 NFL Draft, the Giants have clear plans as to what they want to do with the third overall pick on Thursday night. At this point, Pennsylvania’s Edge Rush Abdul Carter’s choice remains the most logical result.
If it’s impossible to find what they really need: a franchise quarterback, it makes sense to be a top 10 unit based on defense. That’s what the Giants believe they can do if they add Carter to cornerback Paulson Adebo, safety Jevon Holland and defensive ending offseason acquisitions.
Big question: Will the Giants look at the franchise quarterbacks and see them there to get to number three? They definitely consider Cam Ward to be that player, but he is totally locked by Titan in first place. They have Chedure Sanders as the second quarterback on the draft board, but they feel the Giants will go with Carter if Sanders and Carter are there for the doses.
Here are some of the latest ideas about the Giants and this draft.
