The wedding of Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu and Raiders center Fronis Glass was attended by a star-studded crew on the dance floor in Laguna Beach, Calif., over the weekend.
Vanessa Bryant and his daughter Natalya, NBA Hall of Famer Pau Gasol and his wife Kat, Lakers GM Rob Pelinka and his wife Kristin, and former NBA coach Steve Nash were among those in attendance.
Vanessa, Natalia, Gasol and Nash were spotted dancing with Ionescu at the wedding reception videos on social media.
At one point, Gasol and Vanessa, the widow of the late Kobe Bryant, Gasol’s longtime Lakers teammate, began playing hand drums while Nash, on the dance floor, raised his arms in the air.
Vanessa shared a number of selfies on her Instagram with her eldest daughter and Ionescu, a close friend of the Bryant family.
“Congratulations @sabrina_i and @h_grasu!!!” said the 41-year-old. Vanessa wrote. “They are such a beautiful couple. I wish them all the best! Zo.”
Sato Sabally also shared a photo with former University of Oregon teammate Ionescu at the reception.
WNBA stars posed with their hands making an “O” in honor of their alma mater.
“A wonderful wedding for two very special people, a weekend full of two very special people, a weekend full of smiles and happy tears, for an everlasting bond of love.” Sabally captioned the post.
Another photo from the celebration showed Ionescu holding hands with the Oregon Duck mascot.
The reception featured a stunning centerpiece of white roses and floral prints hanging from the ceiling, and the couple’s initials “S | S | S” adorned the dance floor. H” with the wedding date of March 10, 2024 highlighted in gold.
The wedding took place two months after Ionescu celebrated her bridal shower In January.
A year earlier, in January 2023, Ionescu popped the question through a glass during a candlelit rooftop proposal, and they got engaged.
Ionescu announced the news on Instagram at the time.
“Always us 🤍Forever with you – 1.20.23 #Finally,” she wrote.
The two-time WNBA All-Star selection is TikTok videos Glass reportedly told her he was doing a photoshoot for GQ magazine and planned a surprise proposal with his agents.
“I was completely shocked and caught off guard because he played so well and I literally had no idea,” Ionescu said. “We were planning to go out to dinner by ourselves after this.” [the engagement] We found out that our entire family and some friends surprised us on a party bus and met us in town.
