Inside Sean 'Diddy' Combs' new experience at challenging Fort Dix prison

Insights on FCI Fort Dix from Former Inmate

Joe Giudice shared some candid thoughts about the New Jersey prison where Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently serving his 50-month sentence.

Having spent 41 months in FCI Fort Dix himself after being indicted on federal fraud charges in 2013, Giudice mentioned to Us Weekly that Combs’s experience “depends on how he carries himself.”

“If he keeps a low profile and avoids acting like a big shot, he should be alright,” Giudice, who is now 53, pointed out.

He reflected on the unpredictable nature of prison life, saying, “I’ve seen people get stung on onions. It’s not always with the most reliable crowd.”

Giudice also recounted some of his experiences, noting that he witnessed inmates engaging in “group sex” in the early hours of the morning. “I remember waking up around 3 or 4 AM to use the bathroom and encountering some pretty wild scenes,” he recalled. “Even if guards hear the showers at night, they just turn a blind eye,” he added.

Despite the challenges, Giudice acknowledged a few positives about Fort Dix. He mentioned that you can pay for various services, including personal security and shoe shining. “We get our clothes tailored, and the chefs actually cook for us; that’s the reality of it,” he said.

Another former inmate chimed in, describing the harsh living conditions Combs might be facing at FCI Fort Dix. “There’s only one bathroom on each floor, and it’s usually broken. Plus, much of the food is expired. It’s pretty miserable,” said this individual, who spent 17 months in a federal facility.

“After just a day and a half, I told a kid I had just met, ‘This is not a prison; it feels like a mental hospital!’” he remarked, noting the chaotic atmosphere.

When approached for comment, FCI Fort Dix did not respond immediately.

In July, Combs, 56, was acquitted of two serious counts related to sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, yet he was convicted on two prostitution-related charges. Subsequently, he was sentenced to 50 months in prison and moved from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn to Fort Dix.

Combs’s scheduled release date is in June 2028.
