Inside the Panthers WAGs’ glamorous styles during Stanley Cup Final

For the Florida Panthers, the trip to the Stanley Cup Playoffs has been “stressful” but exciting.

With Florida one win away from claiming the first Stanley Cup in franchise history, wives and girlfriends of Panthers players are preparing for a thrilling conclusion to the series, said celebrity makeup artist Allison Kaye, who did the glamorous makeup looks for several Panthers WAGs before their 5-3 loss to the Edmonton Oilers in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final on Tuesday.

Kaye has worked with Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk’s fiancee Ellie Connell, forward Evan Rodriguez’s wife Christina Rodriguez and center Steve Lorentz’s fiancee Erin Markle, among others.

She urged women to wear a “natural” makeup style.

“Hockey isn’t necessarily about all the glitz and glamour, so I wanted to let the girls be themselves,” Kay said.

Florida dominated the playoffs, defeating the Lightning, Bruins and Rangers en route to a second consecutive Stanley Cup Final.

The Panthers started the series strong with a 3-0 lead, but then lost two straight games against the Oilers.

Game 6 is set to be played Friday in Edmonton, but Kaye, who styled Chiefs players’ partners ahead of their Super Bowl 2024 win over the 49ers in February, believes there’s something magical about this year’s team.

“The team and their wives really were like a family, and the wives raved about the team and each other,” Kaye said. “As someone who has worked with a lot of sports teams, I can tell you this team is really special.”

If a Game 7 is necessary, it will be played on Monday in Florida.
