Concerns Raised Over Asylum Claims in the UK

A whistle-blower has alleged that numerous asylum seekers in the UK have falsely claimed intimate connections with the daughter of the Kurdish Prime Minister to bolster their cases. This individual has expressed that nearly all asylum applications submitted in Britain are fraudulent, yet there is a systemic culture that encourages accepting these claims.

According to this anonymous source, identified only as “J,” only about one in every hundred asylum applications is genuine. Despite this, a significant number of applications continue to be approved. “J” claims to be an experienced Home Office asylum caseworker who has evaluated thousands of applications, and he believes that the fraudulent nature of many applications is evident. He suggests that many migrants are coached to provide the “right” answers to ensure acceptance.

Historically, the approval rate for asylum applications has been quite high, with up to 75% being accepted in recent years. This figure has decreased, and it’s now around a third. But if the one-percent statistic regarding genuine cases is accurate, it implies that fraud continues to allow a large influx of dependents into the UK.

“J” asserts that there exists a culture within the Home Office that favors accepting applicants’ narratives, with staff treating asylum seekers as “customers,” indicating that the focus is more on providing service to individuals rather than to the nation itself. He highlights a disparity where approving an application is quick and straightforward compared to the lengthy and complicated process of denial.

The whistle-blower has stated, “At best, 1 percent of asylum seekers are genuine. Almost every aspect of the asylum system is either a massive fraud or severely dysfunctional. Nothing operates as it should.”

Perhaps the most remarkable part of this account is the seemingly effortless deception used by many asylum seekers, which still manages to yield results. Claims suggest that applicants are given months to prepare their stories, often rehearsing them until they can deliver the “correct” answers verbatim. Many assessors have reportedly encountered the same reasons for asylum numerous times.

According to reports, a prevalent claim among migrants is about their past romantic relationships with the daughter of the Kurdistan Prime Minister, to the extent that it has become a “running joke” among officials. Allegedly, “hundreds” have made similar claims.

Moreover, many arrivals from Pakistan assert they fled due to their sexual orientation, claiming they all had the same boyfriend. This one individual has allegedly provided countless letters of support that are clearly fabricated.

In another case, numerous migrants from Bangladesh claim to have been significant figures in a political party that was overthrown in a coup in 2024. However, despite their supposed high-ranking positions, many could not answer basic inquiries about the party.

The Times has noted that while the government declined to address specifics regarding these allegations, they did acknowledge a key point: the Home Office does not verify the claims of asylum seekers with their home countries in order to protect confidentiality.
