Dan Bilzerian Plans House Run in Florida

Dan Bilzerian, often labeled the “King of Instagram,” has stepped forward to contest against the current Republican representative for the U.S. House in Florida.

The social media figure shared his plans via text in early April. As reported, he has officially filed to run, according to a recent filing with the Federal Election Commission (FEC). Known for his flashy lifestyle and eye-catching posts on Instagram, Bilzerian has more than 29 million followers.

Documents indicate that he will compete as a Republican in Florida’s 6th Congressional District against Rep. Randy Fine, who took office last April after a special election. Fine stepped in to fill the position left by Mike Walz, a former Republican who is now the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.

On April 5th, Bilzerian reacted to Fine’s endorsement of President Trump’s Easter message and critiqued Fine’s commitment to the U.S. In a pointed comment, he emphasized that Fine’s priorities seemed misaligned, suggesting an overwhelming focus on Jewish interests over American ones.

Bilzerian also made controversial remarks regarding perceptions of non-Jews, asserting that the Talmud views them unfavorably. In an interview, he argued that those beliefs resonate more strongly today and suggested that it’s not Muslims but Israelis who perpetrate significant acts of terrorism. He expressed his belief in a distorted narrative surrounding the Holocaust and claimed that Jewish dominance poses a substantial threat to both the U.S. and the wider world.

The clip from the interview remains prominently featured on his social media account.

Bilzerian has expressed previous sentiments supporting Hamas and has called for Trump’s impeachment, labeling him in very harsh terms.

When asked about Bilzerian’s entry into the race, a spokesperson for Fine’s campaign stated that Bilzerian’s actions would not align with the American people’s interests. They reiterated Fine’s strong connection with Trump, noting the latter’s endorsement over the past two years for Fine’s agenda, which includes hardline immigration policies and election reforms.

Interestingly, FEC filings indicate that Bilzerian lists his residence as Las Vegas, Nevada, raising questions about his eligibility since representatives must live in the state they wish to represent.

Bilzerian’s team has not yet provided any comment to the inquiries about his candidacy.
