The 2024 NBA Draft is not the most anticipated draft in the history of the league, but it’s important to remember that even weak drafts have had plenty of good players. Take 2013 for example, when Anthony Bennett was the worst player ever taken first overall, but future two-time league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and four-time Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert were both selected outside of the lottery.
What makes this draft interesting and challenging to evaluate is the lack of a consensus top player. More than 10 players ranked number one overall in various rankingsWe won’t know how this draft will turn out for at least five years, but that won’t stop us from giving an instant evaluation to the 2024 draft picks.
