Deshaun Watson is sending a message about his recovery after re-rupting Achilles in January.
New video posted On Instagram on Tuesday, the Browns quarterback is training hard while he is wearing medical boots at the Cleveland team's CrossCountry Mortgage Campus.
Adorned with Browns gear, Watson expanded his mindset as the new league year began, performing a variety of exercises and stretches.
“At the end of the day, I have to understand my name too. My presence is greater than what people actually see,” Watson said.
“For me, I want it to be authentic because everything I lived, I've always been really there. I've always dreamed of serving others.
Watson, 29, added that he learned not to take things personally by people who don't understand him.
“In a sense, you can't take it personally, I learned a bit about it. But I naturally do it just like we're trying to personally think of other people's opinions.
Watson's 2025 season is in the air after undergoing a second Achilles surgery in January after re-rupting the tendon.
He first suffered from the tears of right Achilles, which ended in the seventh week of the 2024 season.
The Browns acquired Kenny Pickett in trade with the Eagles last week and visited free agent Russell Wilson.
Watson informed the Browns that he physically injured Achilles as part of the team's end of season.
“Watson's recovery time and return to playing status are uncertain and likely to miss a significant amount of time during the 2025 season,” the Browns said in January, confirming Watson's MRI results.
Rapper and model Jilly Anais, the Pro Bowl quarterback fiancée, was excited to see him train again.
“I'm going to my fiancé!!!!!” Anais wrote in the comment.
The couple, who celebrated together for five years last July, announced their engagement on Sunday in a joint Instagram post.
Watson threw for 3,365 yards, 19 touchdowns and 12 interceptions over three seasons, with 19 starting with Brown. He holds a 9-10 record.
Watson has suspended the first 11 games of the 2022 season and delayed the Browns' debut due to allegations of sexual misconduct by about two massage therapists against the quarterback, which was first released in March 2021.
Since then, Anais has been standing by Watson.
