Dramatic footage has surfaced showing a brawl that erupted between two passengers on a flight headed to London. This incident caused quite a stir, with fellow travelers screaming and vacating their seats in alarm.
The altercation occurred on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight from Sylhet, Bangladesh, to London Heathrow on September 16, as reported by news agency Jam Press.
As the scuffle escalated, one passenger ended up with his T-shirt severely torn, and it was all happening right in front of other passengers.
According to Jam Press, the fight commenced with an argument between the two men, although the root cause of their disagreement remains unclear. In the midst of the chaos, several passengers—both men and women—jumped up to intervene, trying to separate the fighters as they exchanged punches in the aisle.
Eventually, a few crew members stepped in to defuse the situation after numerous bystanders had attempted to break it up. It’s worth noting that children and elderly individuals were also on board during this tense moment.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines later confirmed the incident, with their general manager of public relations, Mohiuddin Ahmed, commenting on the altercation. “The flight departed Sylhet for London this morning,” he explained. “At some point during the flight, two passengers got into a physical altercation.” The cabin crew intervened and managed to resolve the situation.

This event follows a series of disruptive incidents involving passengers on commercial flights. For instance, earlier this summer, a flight from Tenerife to Liverpool was compelled to return to the airport because of a brawl involving about ten passengers shortly after takeoff. Additionally, in another incident in 2024, a passenger on an American Airlines flight was taken into custody after allegedly injuring a flight attendant while trying to open a cabin door mid-flight.
