The internet slammed Amy Schumer just moments after Netflix shared the trailer for her upcoming film, “Kinda Pregnant.”
Schumer’s hate club is showing no signs of slowing down. The comedian and actress is already facing the harsh words of internet critics, just a few days into the new year. Netflix released the trailer for “Kinda Pregnant” Jan. 7 and trolls immediately flooded social media with hateful comments about Schumer, many of which included clear declarations that the only reason they refuse to watch the movie is that Schumer stars in it.
“Stop giving Amy Schumer work. Please. There are maybe five or six people in the world that find her funny. The rest of us would rather watch literally anyone else,” one person wrote.
“I thought the Amy Schumer making movies problem was over,” wrote another user.
The film is about a girl named Lainey, played by Schumer, who adorns a fake pregnancy belly and pretends to be expecting a child after becoming jealous of her best friend’s pregnancy.
“She puts on a fake baby bump, tells a lie — and accidentally falls for her dream guy,” the official synopsis reads.
The comments demonstrate that people don’t care at all what the movie is about, now that they’ve been told Schumer stars in it.
“Is it too late to replace Amy Schumer with another actress?” one person wrote, while another chimed in to say, “Netflix why we giving Amy Schumer parts 😮 she is not a thing anymore ERASE THIS MOVIE NOW!!!”

The hate-trend continued with an outpouring of rage and disappointment.
“Not one to normally engage in celebrity bashing, but Amy Schumer is a truly revolting person. Making terrible movies is the least of her crimes,” a social media poster wrote.
“Saw Amy – this was an epic fail erm netflix read the room,” another user said.
One user weighed in to say, “I’m embarrassed for Amy Schumer … Amy, please stop and find something else to do. You are a terrible actress/comedian … Wow does this look horrible. Netflix wastes money on making trash movies. DO BETTER NETFLIX!”

The bashing was consistent in the comments section of the Netflix trailer on YouTube and was also prevalent on X.
