Delta Flight Incident Due to Drunk Passengers
Passengers on a Delta flight from Dallas to Boston were forced to disembark after some became unruly, as captured in police bodycam footage.
The video shows passengers struggling to communicate clearly while officers attempted to manage the situation. One woman, later identified as Alicia, claimed she had only consumed two shots of liquor, only to later admit to having had six glasses of wine, as flight attendants noted she had also drunk Prosecco and tequila.
Alicia was seen on the video stating, “I don’t trust this condition and I’m about to go home so please don’t hold me here.” The incident took place on April 14, 2024.
Upon being confronted by an officer, Alicia replied, “No, I won’t,” while appearing disoriented.
When medical personnel were unsuccessful in persuading her to leave, police had no choice but to ask the other passengers to exit and physically remove her from the plane.
“Please give me my only warning back,” she shouted as officers handcuffed her. “Why do you do that? Why do you do that? All I was trying to do was go home!”
Alicia continued to question, “Because you didn’t want to fly me?” to which the officer responded, “Madam, I’m not an airline.”
As she was escorted away, Alicia spat on the ground. Once back in the terminal, she faced discontent from fellow passengers.
The troubling behavior didn’t stop there. After being arrested for criminal trespassing and public intoxication, Alicia threw herself on the ground inside the airport and refused to let officers check for weapons.
Officers reported that while they were transporting her, Alicia claimed, “All I did was peacefully escape from the AF-King plane.” She was soon begging for a cigarette, saying, “Can I vape?” only to be told she couldn’t.
During the ride, Alicia expressed frustration, pleading, “Please put my cuffs back together.” When asked to comply, she responded with confusion about the situation.
Eventually, she was taken to a room where she continued to resist while police attempted to process her. Delta Airlines has not yet issued any comments regarding the incident, while a representative from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport mentioned plans to file a request for further information related to the event.
