The New York Knicks had high hopes riding on their charming second string this season, aspiring to reach the NBA Finals.
Enter the children of MVP Jalen Brunson and his teammates Josh Hart, Miles “Deuce” McBride, and Jose Alvarado. These proud fathers are basking in the joy their little ones bring into their lives, both on and off the court.
Jordyn Brunson
Jalen Brunson has been with his high school sweetheart, Dr. Ali Marks Brunson, since 2013. Fast forward ten years, and they tied the knot and welcomed their daughter, Jordyn James Brunson, on July 31, 2024.
Jalen shared the news on Instagram with a sweet photo of baby Jordyn. From day one, she’s already been a dedicated Knicks fan.
On Mother’s Day, Jalen and Jordyn sported matching pink Nike Kobe shoes, influenced by Jordyn’s heart-patterned pajamas. After he was named team captain, Ali brought their week-old daughter to the office, flaunting coordinating denim jackets with Jalen’s number and an initial.
“When Jordyn sees blue or orange or the Knicks logo, she immediately says, ‘Dada!'” Ali shared during an interview ahead of the NBA Finals. “She cheers for baskets and loves watching Jalen’s highlights.”
For Jalen, fatherhood feels like completing a circle. He won an NBA Finals ring alongside his father, Rick Brunson, making them the first father-son duo to achieve such a feat with the same franchise. Reflecting on the moment, he recounted his emotions vividly after the buzzer sounded.
Hendrix and Hayes Hart
Josh Hart and his wife, Shannon, are parents to three-year-old twins, Hendrix and Hayes, who are already stealing the spotlight. The twins recently took the mic during their dad’s post-game press conference.
The couple, high school sweethearts since they were 15, married in 2021 and welcomed their boys in May 2023. Their burgeoning personalities are on display as they’ve even appeared in photo shoots.
After winning the NBA Finals, the twins joined the celebration, posing with the championship trophy and excitedly exclaiming, “It’s a trophy!”
Ace McBride
This past summer was a significant one for Miles “Deuce” McBride, who embraced fatherhood while also becoming a children’s author. He and girlfriend Ana Zoltair welcomed their one-year-old daughter, Ace Catherine.
The couple initially met as student athletes at West Virginia University. Now, Ana has been spotted bringing Ace to games, with their daughter dressed up to match the game day vibe.
According to Ana, watching McBride bond with their daughter has elevated their relationship to new heights. She described the joy of seeing him so enthralled with his little girl.
Nazanin and Brooklyn Alvarado
Jose Alvarado, who became part of the Knicks this season, has two daughters with his girlfriend, Flor Castillo. Nazanin and Brooklyn are already part of the Knicks family, despite Jose’s relatively new membership.
Brooklyn’s name pays homage to her father’s roots, and their family is about to grow, as Flor recently announced another baby on the way.
The girls’ support is evident, too. They left a sweet voicemail for Jose ahead of Game 5, wishing him victory and expressing their love.
Flor also shared a heartfelt message, thanking Jose for treating her like family and for his constant support and love.
