The global insurance and investment firm Starr has made a move to Silverstein Properties’ 1177 Sixth Ave. They’re taking on a new lease of 49,264 square feet, which will complement their existing office space at 399 Park Ave.
According to sources, the lease rate is around $80 per square foot.
Starr will occupy the entire sixth and eighth floors at 1177.
Harlan Strader, Vice President at Silverstein, noted that the Tower’s unique blend of a boutique feel alongside a bright, expansive atmosphere continues to attract companies that prioritize both wellness and productivity.
Interestingly, the HW Kaufman Group recently relocated their headquarters there as well. Other prominent tenants include Kramer Levin and the private equity firm Mill Point Capital.
On the ground level, a new Middle Eastern restaurant, Naya, is set to open soon, and it will join the longtime menswear shop, Charles Tyrwhitt.
