Investor-Backed Haitian Lobby Group Asks Court to Order Arrest of Donald Trump and JD Vance

Groups advocating for increased immigration from Haiti on Tuesday asked a judge in Springfield, Ohio, to arrest and file criminal charges against former President Donald Trump and J.D. Vance.

The call comes amid the pair's criticism of government-funded immigration policies that threaten to disrupt national jobs, homes and communities.

The accusations were made by the Haiti Bridge Alliance, a group long backed by Mark Zuckerberg's investor group FWD.us and the political campaigns of investor George Soros. The shocking allegations have been widely repeated by pro-Democratic media sites such as NBCNews.com, which prefer to hide the damage caused by the move to ordinary citizens and households behind claims of elite racism.

“The Haitian Bridge Alliance took the action in response to inaction by local prosecutors, said attorney Subodh Chandra of the Cleveland-based Chandra Law Firm,” the Associated Press reported. Written September 24:

Private lawsuits are rare in Ohio but do occur — for example, when a grocery store sues a customer for bad checks. State law requires a hearing to be held before a deposition can proceed. As of Tuesday afternoon, no hearings had been scheduled.

Trump and Vance, a U.S. senator from Ohio, are charged with obstruction of public service, misinformation, wire harassment, aggravated intimidation and conspiracy. The complaint asks the Clark County District Court to find probable cause and issue arrest warrants for Trump and Vance.

“Gerlyn Joseph, co-founder and executive director of the Haiti Bridge Alliance, Filed a lawsuit On behalf of the group,” NBC News Reported:

“Over the past two weeks, Trump and Vance have together led efforts to smear and intimidate the Haitian community in Springfield, Ohio,” Joseph wrote.

“If anyone else had been disrupting public business, spreading misinformation and harassing communications in the way that President Trump and Governor Vance have continued to lie relentlessly, even after the Governor and Mayor said they were lying, they would have been arrested already,” Chandra said in a statement Tuesday. “They, like all of us, must be held accountable to the rule of law.”

The legal battle followed the government-arranged deportation of some 20,000 Haitians to the city, which had a major impact on the social life and finances of a town that is home to some 60,000 Americans.

The influx has been welcomed by Springfield's business, political and media leaders but condemned by ordinary Americans who see their wages, opportunities, housing, safe roads, civic assistance and stable communities lost to the chaotic migration.

Nationally, many progressives and business leaders are defending immigration from Haiti, in part because they already support similar influxes of immigrants in cities and towns across the country: Investors make a lot of wealth from immigrants because they cut American wages, boost consumer spending, soar home prices and slow the need for productivity-boosting workplace investments.

In 2021, Soros’s Open Society advocacy group issued a letter to groups that support Haitian relocation, including the Haitian Bridge Alliance, saying: Over $1 million:

NEW YORK—The Open Society Foundations today announced $1.3 million to support organizations working on the front lines to assist Haitian and Black migrants who have been displaced, detained or deported while seeking asylum and safety at the U.S. southern border this fall.

The funds will help provide legal services to Haitian asylum seekers arriving at the Southwest border and support advocacy efforts to protect their rights, and will enable Black-led organizations to more broadly advocate for humane treatment for all Black immigrants seeking safety and stability in the United States.

“The treatment of Haitian migrants at our southern border is outrageous and a stain on our nation's reputation throughout the region and among black Americans,” said Alexander Soros, who was then vice president of the Open Society Foundations.

But the investor groups have not complained about the damage done to Haiti by the federal government's policies to extract talent from the country, depleting the tiny country's extremely limited resources of police officers, experts and skilled workers and plunging the country into further chaos.

In 2021 and 2021, the Haiti Bridge Group $8 million It received funding from a variety of unidentified donors, including about $300,000 from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, which is reportedly run by Mark Zuckerberg's wife, Priscilla Chan.

The Zuckerbergs also helped found FWD.us, a pro-immigration investor lobbying group that was created to push the “Gang of Eight” amnesty through Congress in 2013. David Plouffe stepped down from the group's board of directors this year to run Cameron Harris' White House campaign.

2021, FWD.us Awarded To the leaders of the Haitian groups:

“Guerin Joseph is a true hero and there is no one more deserving of this award for courage in the pursuit of human rights and social justice. As a leader of the Haitian Bridge Alliance, Guerin has dedicated her life to defending the rights and dignity of Haitians and Black immigrants, not only saving countless lives but also shedding light on a cruel, long-standing and broken immigration system that disproportionately disadvantages Black, Brown and Indigenous people seeking protection. She continues to be a leader in the fight against cruel and inhumane policies that harm asylum-seekers, especially Black immigrants.” Title 42, etc.And the unjust deportations of Haitians continue.

FWD.us spends a lot of money promoting immigration, but because it is organized as a private company, it is allowed to hide its donations.

A wide range of consumer economic investors Founded and funded FWD.us Hidden from the general public I have visited the group's website in the past few months. A copy exists in Other sitesThey stand to benefit from cheaper labor, government-assisted consumers, and room-share renters.

The group has funded numerous false campaigns to urge Democrats not to talk about the economic impact of immigration and to manipulate coverage by television stations and the print media.

Joseph is a frequent host at the White House, according to government data tracked by the Oversight Project.
