Iowa star Caitlin Clark left in awe by sold-out arenas, heightened fan interest: ‘It’s crazy’

Iowa State basketball star Caitlin Clark swept every major national player of the year award last year and continued her strong campaign with another stellar performance this season.

Through 22 games, Clark is averaging a career-high 32.1 points per game. The Hawkeyes, last season’s national championship runner-up, won 20 of 22 games.

Clark and No. 3 ranked Iowa are must-see attractions for fans across the country.

Nearly every basketball arena the Hawkeyes have visited this season has been sold out. Fans who were unable to secure tickets before they sold out were forced to rely on the secondary market, where ticket prices could run into the thousands of yen.

Fans will be interested in Clark in the coming weeks as he looks to break the NCAA all-time scoring record.

The Tennessee Volunteers and University Huskies women’s teams have drawn large crowds in recent years, but South Carolina’s recent dominance has created a strong fan base. The attention the Iowa State basketball program has received appears to be largely due to Clark’s unique talent.

Basketball legends say Angel Reese and Kaitlin Clark face harsh reality when joining WNBA

FOX Sports announcer Gus Johnson said, “There’s never been anyone like this. She’s like a combination of Pete Maravich and Stephen Curry.” “She plays on a different dimension and realm. She has the ability to see the game, understand it, anticipate it, and when she gets into the frontcourt, she can shoot the ball from just about anywhere from the physical side.” Even Taurasi didn’t have this kind of range.” ”

“Honestly, it’s hard to sort out my feelings. It’s crazy how people are screaming my name and really supporting us. I try to make time for as many people as possible. ” Clark said.

“Every time I step off the court, it’s so special to see people screaming our name and being so excited for our team. And that’s something that never gets old. I remember a few years ago It’s crazy how it takes so long because I was a kid like that until ‘flies,’ and I just try to soak it all in every moment. ”

Clark is part of a new generation of stars whose social media and game highlights are easily and consistently available to fans on many networks and streaming services.
