Andy Farrell said after the game against the All Blacks that he was “lucky” to have some players selected again.
Here are his thoughts before the game:
This week was good. There were some lessons that I had to reschedule right away.
It's the perfect mission. He is a top draw opponent who is in great shape. The progress they have made over the past 18 months has been amazing.
He also had glowing words for Sam Prendergast (a “confident kid”) who, according to some reports, could become Farrell's ideal 10 with a few miles of leg work. .
The TNT live feed has just been turned on. It began with a speech by President Theodore Roosevelt.
It's not the critics that are important. He is not the one to point out how the strong stumble, or where the doer of deeds could have done better. Credit for this goes to the man who was actually in the arena, his face marred with dust and sweat and blood. A person who makes a brave effort. People who make mistakes, people who come up short over and over again. Because no effort is free from mistakes and shortcomings. But who actually makes the effort to do this? Someone who knows great enthusiasm, great dedication. Someone who gives of themselves to a worthy cause. At best, to those who know that high results will be achieved in the end, and at worst, if they fail, at least fail boldly, to cold, cowardly souls who know neither victory nor defeat. He is someone who will never be given that position. .
To be fair, it's a good speech.
Argentina national team coach Felipe Conteponi returns to Dublin tonight.
The playmaker represented Leinster for six years from 2003 to 2009, before returning as the province's attack coach for four seasons from 2018.
He had a great performance as Pumas' coach, giving them a new identity and a stronger edge, encouraging them to attack from everywhere while causing havoc at the breakdown.
The focus is on Argentina's ability to move points of contact at breakneck speed. One moment it moves to the right, the next moment it moves to the left. This strategy was a handful for the Springboks, All Blacks and Wallabies. Can Ireland cope with that?
argentina team
Pablo Matera will return to the back row following his suspension and will play a key role in the Pumas' quest to disrupt Ireland's ball.
In addition, Santiago Carreras, who has been attracting attention, returned from injury and was placed on the bench.
Guido Petti replaces Franco Molina at lock, while Matthias Moroni replaces Matthias Orlando, making one change for the Bucks.
Argentina: Juan Cruz María. Rodrigo Isgro, Lucio Cinti, Matias Moroni, Bautista Delgui. Tomas Albornoz, Gonzalo Beltranow. Thomas Gallo, Julian Montoya (Capt.), Joel Sclavie. Guido Petty, Pedro Rubiolo. Pablo Matera, Juan Martin Gonzalez, Joaquín Oviedo.
Alternatives: Ignacio Ruiz, Ignacio Calles, Francisco Gómez Codera, Franco Molina, Santiago Grondona, Gonzalo García, Santiago Carreras, Justo Picardo.
