Travel vlogger and actress Shenaz Treasury recently shared a video highlighting some stunning villas in Bali, contrasting them with a small apartment in Mumbai. She pointed out that the monthly rent for one of these spacious villas, complete with a private pool and garden, is actually less than what one might pay for a compact 1 BHK apartment back in Mumbai.
While touring her friend’s villa, she remarked, “I’m paying more rent for my 1 BHK apartment in Mumbai than my friend pays for her villa in Bali.” As she moved through the expansive rooms, vibrant green surroundings, and serene private pools, she noted, “Living here is way more affordable than being crammed into a one-bedroom apartment in Mumbai, which is just ten minutes from the beach but surrounded by traffic and construction.”
However, not all social media users seemed supportive; some suggested she should boldly relocate to Bali. One comment read, “I’m heading to Bali. No one will miss you in Mumbai or India if you leave.” Another user mentioned, “With more people moving in, Bali’s cost will rise due to supply and demand. It’s just a matter of time, so enjoy it while you can.” Someone else quipped, “Then why not just go to Bali—what’s stopping you?”
Shenaz also addressed the reasons many Indians have chosen to settle in Bali. According to her, the cost of living plays a significant role. She highlighted that transportation, food, and even massages are quite budget-friendly, while the overall standard of living remains high.
Additionally, she noted that Bali is considered Indonesia’s wellness capital, offering various yoga classes, healing retreats, and health-conscious cafes. Shenaz Treasury referred to this popular honeymoon spot as an ideal place for remote work, as well as a thriving hub for entrepreneurs and digital creators. She also emphasized Bali’s rich culture, infused with Hindu traditions, visible in its temples, rituals, and daily offerings.
