Is Biden’s Houthi strike connected to the 2024 election?

The US and UK have carried out attacks against the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen, and MP Thomas Massey believes he knows why.

“It's election season, so you should think twice. During wars, people are more likely to vote for the commander-in-chief who is waging the war,” Massey explains to Glenn Beck.

“And I'm worried that he will drag us into war with this,” he added.

Biden, on the other hand, failed to fulfill what Massie believed was his duty.

“I think he had an obligation to come to Congress and he had time to do it. If he had time to form a United Nations to do this, or at least work with Britain, then he had time to come to us. “There was,” Massey says.

The War Powers Act requires Biden to do so unless he responds defensively to the emergency.

“In a world where there are missiles, the War Powers Act is right. Even if someone were to launch a missile, the president would have to go to Congress and say, “Here's my point: within 12 minutes, we're all going to be vaporized.'' I want to make a point.’ We don’t have time to say, ‘I want to make a point,’” Glenn says.

But, as Massey said, more than 90 days have passed since this battle began.

“The president has a responsibility to go before the American people and Congress and make his case. And Congress needs to decide,” Glenn said.

“You're absolutely right,” Massey agrees.
