Imagine a vehicle that has the convenience of carrying passengers and luggage, but also the agility of a scooter to weave through traffic or park in tight spaces.
Sounds like a dream, right?
That may soon become a reality with India’s new electric vehicle Surge S32, which can transform from a three-wheeled rickshaw to a two-wheeled scooter in minutes.

How do electric cars work?
of Surge S32 is based on an innovative platform called the Advanced Modular Scalable Electric Platform (AMSEP), which houses the battery, motor, electronics, and rear wheel of the rickshaw.

The front of the platform has a docking area where you can attach and detach a two-seater scooter. When the scooter is connected, the rear wheels lift off the ground and the rickshaw’s motor and battery power the entire vehicle.

Once separated, the scooter operates on its own motor and battery, making it an independent vehicle. The process is called Smart Switching Multi Powertrain (SSMP) and takes him only three minutes at the push of a button.
