The second season of Paramount+ hit show Landman has wrapped up. I’ll keep this spoiler-free, but after the events in Season 2, Episode 10 (“Tragedy and the Flies”), my anticipation for Season 3 is really building.
If you’re hunting for something to watch while you wait, I’d suggest checking out Graham Yost’s popular neo-western, Justified (Hulu), the crime thriller featuring Sylvester Stallone in Tulsa King (Paramount+), Dark Wind (AMC+ and Netflix), Goliath (Prime Video), or Sneaky Pete (Netflix and Prime Video).
So, what’s next for Landman? The series has officially been renewed for a third season, which will dive into the complexities of West Texas oil drilling. Here’s what we know so far.
How many episodes are there in Landman Season 2?
Season 2 features a total of 10 episodes.
Will there be a Season 3 of Landman on Paramount+?
Yes! Paramount confirmed that Landman has been renewed for a third season, which will arrive in December 2025.
When can we expect Season 3 of Landman on Paramount+?
While there’s no official release date yet, there are rumors that filming for Season 3 might kick off in April or May 2026.
The first season of Landman premiered on Paramount+ in November 2024, with Season 2 following in November 2025. Typically, I’d guess a release around November or December 2026, but considering Taylor Sheridan’s packed schedule, that might shift. He has a lot on his plate, including two new shows launching in March — Madison on Paramount+ (March 14) and Marshals on CBS (March 1) — plus a spin-off of Yellowstone called Dutton Ranch featuring Samuel L. Jackson, and several other projects in various stages of production.
So, is November or December 2026 a reasonable timeframe for Landman Season 3? Absolutely. But given Sheridan’s busy timeline, we might see a delay. It’s a bit too soon to be sure, so we’ll just have to wait.
