Is the Most Exciting Party on Your Island? Email Leak Shows Elon Musk Looking for a Getaway with Jeffrey Epstein

Recently released documents from Jeffrey Epstein’s files have unveiled that Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, communicated with the convicted sex offender in 2012 and 2013 regarding a potential visit to Epstein’s private island. Musk even inquired about “What day/night is the wildest party on your island?”

The Justice Department disclosed on Friday that they have published millions of new documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, revealing emails that show dialogues between Musk and Epstein. These conversations took place from 2012 to 2013 and revolve around Musk’s interest in visiting Epstein’s notorious island.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche announced this release, which includes over 2,000 videos and around 180,000 images, in addition to the document pages. This disclosure comes after significant pressure on the Justice Department to abide by a federal law requiring the release of all Epstein-related files by a deadline of December 19.

Over the weekend, several fabricated emails allegedly between Musk and Epstein surfaced on Musk’s X platform. Readers were cautioned to verify images before sharing possible misinformation. The Justice Department has investigation tools available for those looking to trace the origin of online posts.

The email disclosed on Friday mentions Musk, though his email address has been redacted. In an October 2012 message, Epstein invited Musk to his island, claiming, “You will not suffer.” Musk, citing work obligations, expressed a desire to take a break after hitting milestones at various companies.

In a November 2013 exchange, Epstein prompted Musk to consider sending a private helicopter to the island, asking how many people would be needed to make the trip. Musk reportedly replied it would just be him and Riley, and he further probed about when the biggest party would occur at the island.

In a December 2013 email, Musk reminded Epstein that he’d be near the British Virgin Islands and St. Barts during the holidays and sought the best time for a visit. Epstein offered to arrange helicopter transport, which Musk appreciated.

On December 25, Musk mentioned he was in St. Barts with Riley and suggested he might head home early on January 3. He hinted the day before at a possible trip to the island, yet it’s uncertain whether he actually went, as he denies having visited.

Musk has consistently downplayed his association with Epstein and maintains he never set foot on the island. In September, he commented on his social platform X that Epstein had tried to lure him to his island, but he had declined. He also took issue with Sky News for linking him to Epstein, while mentioning Prince Andrew, who had visited the island. In 2023, the U.S. Virgin Islands issued a subpoena to Musk regarding allegations that Epstein may have attempted to introduce him as a potential customer of JPMorgan Chase.

In June 2025, during a public dispute with Donald Trump, Musk leveraged the Epstein files against the president, stating, “Time to drop a really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein file.” He later retracted, saying the comment “went too far.”

Musk has called the released emails “misinterpreted” and once again denied any visit to the island.
